Ongoing projects

Pueblos Mancomunados is a group of zapotec indios communities living in Oaxaca's Sierra Norte. You can find details on their story together with the first set of pictures I made in winter 2009 here. The Pueblos represent a positive exemplar of cultural and political indipendency and evroniment care, a story deserving more attention. I'm planning to set up an exhibition and publish a book about the Pueblos Mancomunados, their life and eco-tourism projects. To do this I need to fly back to Mexico between June and September 2010, during the rainy season.

Turkey. I have been travelling throughout Turkey since 2006. New eastern borders of a possible europe is the title of a photographic project I'm thinking about. The idea is to take a journey from the Black Sea across the borders between Turkey Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Iraq, and Siria. If Turkey will ever join the European union, this can be seen as a journey across the new future european borders.

So What?

I have always been a freelance photographer. Times now are getting harder for people like me... The Crisis is affecting the editors whom I have worked with so far. In times like these, I can only go on working with your help. Donations on my Paypal account can give more refreshment than a cheeseburger in a cold Turkish and hungry night. A blog will be created to keep the supporters informed of the developments. Please feel free to contribute pressing the bottom on your left.
